Barcelona is a dynamic, vibrant city on the shores of the Mediterranean that offers an excellent climate and a huge range of cultural and leisure attractions.
Barcelona has always been at the forefront of design, yet the city also boasts a fascinating Roman, medieval and Modernist history as well as its contemporary icons. It is one of the most attractive cities in Europe with a tremendously cosmopolitan atmosphere, yet has managed to preserve its traditions.
School trip to Barcelona with Spanish lessons:
D.1. Arrival and settling-in. Welcome!
D.2. Morning: 3 Spanish lessons at our city-centre school. Lunch. In the afternoon, students will discover the city’s unique Modernist architecture in some of its most representative buildings on Passeig de Gràcia: Casa Lleó Morera and Casa Amatller, and Gaudí’s Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. Later on they will visit Park Güell before ending up with a guided tour of the Sagrada Familia Gaudí’s church.
D.3. Morning: 3 Spanish lessons. Lunch. In the afternoon, take part in a treasure hunt around the Gothic Quarter, a fun way of discovering this ancient part of the city by answering questions and solving puzzles, with a prize for the winning team! Students will then sample some hot chocolate with churros, take a stroll down the Ramblas, pop into the Boquería Market and end up in the Barceloneta district and its beaches.
D.4. Morning: 3 Spanish lessons. Lunch. Guided tour of the Palau de la Música, the masterwork of architect Domenech i Montaner. Students then take a walk through the Ribera neighbourhood to the Born district, passing through the Market of Santa Caterina. They will also visit the church of Santa Maria del Mar (also known as the Cathedral of the Sea), followed by a stroll through the Ciudadela Park. In the evening, enjoy a tapas dinner.
D.5. Farewell and departure. See you soon!
